Actor Scarlett Johansson’s skincare line, The Outset, launched with five clean products in March of 2022. I worked alongside Scarlett and the company’s co-founder, Kate Foster, as Creative Director from the beginning stages of brand development through to launch. I partnered with Gates Creative agency to develop a visual identity that was timeliness and universal. The brand’s logo, packaging, color palette, typeface, and photography reflect the The Ouset’s core purpose – the ease of simplicity and a return to the essential.
The products are a clean and effective skincare system created for all skin types. They eliminate over-complicated, trendy skin routines and instead focus on a 3-step daily regimen of cleanse, prep, moisturize.
We created a consumer centric, 360 brand story that encompassed a DTC website, all social channels, out-of-home advertising, educational videos, influencer gifting, and an in-store presence at Sephora.
